Research goals

Our vision is to understand gut health by studying the mechanisms that drive intestinal disease and regeneration.

We focus on key unmet needs in inflammatory bowel disease, such as fibrosis and psychological comorbidities, and explore how the gut contributes to systemic disorders like Parkinson’s disease. By combining fundamental studies, patient-based translational research, and advanced gut mucosa models, we aim to identify novel therapeutic targets and develop regenerative strategies that restore intestinal function and improve lives.
